Lady Gaga’s buys Frank Zappa’s Home


Celebrity singer, Lady Gaga is the proud new owner and beneficiary of Music Icon, Frank Zappa’s previous Home. The ‘Born this way’ singer certainly know how to live her way as she forked out $5.25 Million for this Late Music Star’s old pad.

According to reports, Lady Gaga closed the deal on this Hollywood Hills’ estate in August under its asking price of $5.495 Million. Initially, Zappa’s family home appeared for sale on eBay for $9 Million.

Sitting on an expanse of half an acre, this estate certainly reflected Zappa’s style and lifestyle as it comprises of 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms in its 6.75 square foot main house. There is also an attached staff apartment and two additional guests’ houses with a contemporary style. Other amenities of the property are fit for a star such as Gaga as it also includes a roof top tennis court, a pool in the backyard, a green house and an art gallery. In 1979, Zappa also built in a recording place called the ‘Utility Muffin research Kitchen’ which is well-known for where Zappa and other musicians came up with tracks. This studio was surely the one of the main factors in Lady Gaga’s million dollar purchase.

This mansion is also quite well-known for its customized nature. Some of these include a surprise mural of a dragon in the living room, vintage doors which came from submarines and a ‘secretly placed’ Storage chamber below the house that is called ‘The Vault.’ This ‘Vault’ is rumoured to hold the private Archives of Zappa which he specifically kept under locks until his passing in 1993.

Frank Zappa bought this house in 1968 for $75,000. Now, this house has certainly passed on from a music legend to a music icon of today.
