Capuchin Catacombs of Palermo, Italy
Thousands of preserved (and well-dressed) corpses can be found in these catacombs located in Southern Italy. Appropriately dubbed a “human library,” the Capuchin Catacombs are best known for housing the body of Rosalia Lombara, the century-old corpse of a 2-year-old girl that is so well preserved she’s been nicknamed “Sleeping Beauty.”
