Kanye West Unites With Drake for Upcoming Album

What music fans have been anticipating and suspected for quite some time has now been confirmed. Kanye West will be collaborating with Drake on a new music endeavor. West has stated that he is currently working on a new album with fellow Rap contemporary, Drake. As he puts it, they are “working on a bunch of music together” and having a great time in the studio recording.

Since late August, fans have been speculating about West and Drake recording together due to an intriguing billboard that popped up in Los Angeles. The posting featured Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. MUSIC logo alongside Drake’s OVO logo. (Both artists own their own record labels.) To add to the curiosity, at a concert, Drake hinted to the audience of what is to come by asking if they’re “ready for this?”

Both pop stars are accustomed to collaboration and have previously joined forces with other artists as guests on singles for their albums or even for a duet on stage. Of course, other artists have, in turn, done the same. Drake has performed with Future while Kanye West partnered with Jay Z in Watch the Throne. So fans are going to be interested to hear the result of this latest venture.

Furthermore, they have, in previous recordings, teamed up with one another. Kanye West contributed to “Pop Style” from Drake’s album, Views, along with Jay Z. Likewise, Drake is credited with co-writing “30 Hours,” a single from West’s album, The Life of Pablo.

Even after making this confirmation during an interview for Vogue magazine, Kanye West is not spilling out many more details. Drake is not elaborating on the project much either, and neither one has yet to mention a release date for the new album. Nonetheless, with the sense of expectation, combined with very few specifics, upon release of this record, fans will be ready.
