Checking Up on the Drivers in NASCAR’s Playoffs

In Charlotte, North Carolina, there will be 16 different NASCAR drivers that will be contending in the Sprint Cup championship. This will start this Sunday and here is a closer look at a few of the drivers.

Brad Keselowski

Brad Keselowski is a driver for Penske Racing and has shown that he is one of the fastest drivers of this season so far. He did not qualify for the Sprint Cup championship last year or in 2014.

Kyle Busch

Known as one of the most popular drivers in NASCAR today, Kyle Busch’s driving has actually been a little erratic lately. He is the reigning champion of the Sprint Cup and has four other major wins of this season so far.

Denny Hamlin

Denny Hamlin drives for Joe Gibbs Racing along with Kyle Busch. He won the Daytona 500 this year and is seeking his first ever win at the Sprint Cup championship.

Kevin Harvick

Harvick drives for the Stewart-Hass Racing team and won his first chase in 2014. He has had some major setbacks with his pit crew and his looking to get that all settled before the race on Sunday.

Carl Edwards

Carl Edwards is another driver for Joe Gibbs Racing. He is one of the only drivers for Joe Gibbs Racing that made it to the finale last year.

Martin Truex Jr.

Truex Jr. drives for the sister team of Joe Gibb Racing, Furniture Row Racing. He is another driver who made it to the finale last year. After he decided to switch to driving a Toyota, he had major wins in the Coca-Cola 600 and the Southern 500 races.

This is a small look at the drivers who will be competing on Sunday to become the next champion of the Sprint Cup championship.
